LOREMASTER'S LEAGUE
General
1. The league season is 6 weeks
2. Each player can only play another player once in the the season for league pts. Other games are encouraged but not counted.
3. Each player can play max 6 league games
4. Each player can play max 1 league games per week (Sun-Sat)
5. League games, *exact* lists and results must be reported by monday afternoon to count for the week previous to the Tournament/League Organizer (hereafter TO).
6. A TO or other sufficiently impartial player does not need to be present but encouraged. If there is an unresolved dispute concerning an issue and there was no TO or impartial witness to decide it, then the match does not count for league pts.
7. A player cannot use the same list twice in a season. This means a player can use the same ships, but one or more ship upgrade(s) should at least be different. This is to encourage list building and derail net-lists.
8. League games should be played at the local game store to encourage new players and community growth and encouraged to do so on League Days. But not all games have to be as long as BOTH players agree on time/place beforehand.
9. Matches follow standard FFG dogfight tournament rules and 1.15 hour time frame. (75 minute games). IT IS THE PLAYERS RESPONSIBLITY TO TIME THEIR GAMES if no TO is present.
10. If you don’t turn up at the time and place pre-arranged with your opponent, without reasonable notice for postponement, you forfeit all pts. Your opponent gets full pts. If postponement is acceptable, A reschedule and official game that is played BEFORE end of that week will count as usual.
11. If you play an illegal list you forfeit. Your opponent gets full pts. So be sure to check over your list with appropriate list software and read over the current FFG rules for standard games.
12. A minimum of 4 official league matches is required to earn participation prizes.
13. Prizes will be awarded after the final end-of-league tournament.
14. CURRENT LEAGUE DAY will be Sundays starting at 1 PM.
End of League Tournament
All players who finish the league season of at least 4 played and reported games will play off in an elimination mini-tourney to determine the final top rankings.
This will be a Swiss style tournament using the Cryodex software. Points will be set as per the Cryodex software.
On Tournament Day prior to the start, each player must have their list ready AND A COPY MUST BE GIVEN TO THE TO. This list can NOT be altered any amount for the entirety of the tournament.
Reporting League Matches
1. Post exact lists and results here or on the FB page no later than the Monday afternoon of the previous week. It does not matter WHO posts them, but will be agreed upon by the players at end of game. If posted on the FB page, TAG the TO in the post.
League Scoring
1. a win earns 3 pts.
A Loss earns 1 pt. No-Shows (i.e. game not played) results in zero points for the player(s) as well as not reporting on-time.
2. There will not be modified wins or Ties as per the 11.1.2016 FFG Official Tournament Rules. Tie League Games will be settled per official FFG rules (a copy is provided down page).
The league expects its players not to engage in ‘list switching’ to win games. It up to players to prevent this, but some recommended practices are:
1. Players should plan to match against an opponent’s list that could contain anything.
2. Players should not reveal their lists until they are ready to play and reveal them more or less simultaneously.
3. There should be no alterations to prepared lists after they are revealed.
Official FFG Tie Game Results:
Final Salvo
If both players have the same score at the end of a game, they must fire
a Final Salvo to determine the winner. To fire a Final Salvo, each player
adds together the printed, unmodified primary weapon value of his or her
remaining, undestroyed ships and rolls attack dice equal to that number. The
player who rolls the highest total number of combined hits and critical hits
wins the game. If both players roll an equal number hits and critical hits, they
roll again until a winner is determined.
If a game ends in mutual destruction, each player adds together the printed,
unmodified primary weapon value of all ships in his or her squad and rolls
attack dice equal to that number.
