I'll be starting up my Grand Alliance Chaos force with Khorne Bloodbound (that will eventually expand out to Daemons of Khorne) for the Tale of X Warlords. I'm not going with the actual Getting Started box contents but what I chose is pretty comparable.
I'll work on a background and some other items as I have time through the month of October.
October: - 10 Blood Warriors
- 5 Skullreapers
- Bloodsecrator
November: - 3 Mighty Skullcrushers
December: - Chaos Warshrine dedicated to Khorne
January: - Mighty Lord of Khorne (or maybe a Khorne Lord on a Juggernaught)
Terrain: - Undecided
Other Stuff When I Have Time: - More Blood Warriors - More Skullreapers - Bloodstoaker - Bloodreavers up the wazoo

This is very cool! I've slowly been working on my Bloodbound Army for AoS this summer, so I am VERY interested in seeing how yours will turn out. The hardest for me, so far, were the Bloodreavers. So much detail on so many different models just for a quick-death unit. I'm excited to get to the Blood Warriors and Skullcrushers as those are some very cool models.
I'm looking forward to seeing this army unfold both in the painting and on the table top!

I specifically didn't want to start with the Bloodreavers for that very reason, even though I have like 40 of them. They just seem like they would take forever to get painted. I have not put the time in the painting over the last year or so like I used to and I figured I needed a couple smaller units to get done first so that I could get some units finished to get my motivation up.

I hear that! I've got at least 80 Reavers.. I think I have 100 if I count my unopened Starter Box. I admit to not painting much this year either, but I am getting there! I did paint up a decent sized Necron army because they look cool. lol. And I did some Stormcast and a little Bloodbound. My interest in Age of Sigmar has pretty much skyrocketed since the General's Handbook came out. Plus I've got to play several different Battle Plan scenarios and those are really fun - with or without points (honestly.... I'm a points guy). So.. this is why I decided to create a Tale of X Warlords for LoreMaster's. Perhaps it is selfish as I needed something "official" to get me motivated and to keep tabs on my progress - my plans were to do this regardless if anyone else joined. But it's so much more fun to do these with others. THANK YOU for participating! So.. next question... exaclty HOW close are you to me (Three Rivers area) and are you able to get games of AoS in? - Rob

I am in Mendon, so the distance is not an issue at all. I would love to get some games in as I have time. October is historically bad for me due to birthdays and family functions so my availability on weekends will not be great for 4 or 5 weeks but I'm totally on board with getting together and playing.
I am very interested in AoS since the General's Handbook came out. I've been trying to get the same group of guys that I played Fantasy with to switch over to it as well because up until about a year ago we had pretty active little Warhammer group in addition to D&D, Magic and board game nights. Hopefully now that there is a points system it'll be a much easier sell.

Aside from that, yeah, my home is only 17 minutes at most from Mendon out on Fairchild Road between Centreville/Constantine/Three Rivers. My number is 269*506*0043 text is great - just leave your name in the message if you want to contact me. We can easily get together and just hobby too. But I'd be up for teaching/playing some Age of Sigmar, Star Wars X-Wing/Armada/Imperial Assault too. I do know several people in that group.. had them over hear at my home about 3 years ago playing 8th. About the only thing I won't get back into is Magic the Gathering or other card-only games. If you'd like some help getting your buddies back into it again, let me know if I can assist and how. - Rob

Sounds great! I do have some X-wing stuff. Mostly Rebel. But I've only played a couple of games. I sent all the guys texts about the Tale of Warlords just in case they didn't know about it since some of them only get into facebook occasionally.
I'll send you a text soon.

Here is the first model I got done. I went back and changed the color of his belt and did some touch ups but he is basically as he is.
