For all of you guys interested in getting involved with the escalation campaign 750 point tournament on July 9th. Please see the attached player packet for all information that any player would need, and some additional information that is only relevant come game time. Below is a "living" FAQ that I will keep up to date with questions and comments in regards to the escalation game, tournament, and league in general. Please feel free to give your input here, or if you would like to contact me via a message here on on facebook.
-FAQ-
Q: I have this really cool model that I want to convert for the tournament and play with, can I?
A: Yes, with some restrictions. All bases must be the same size as the original models base, and general size characteristics should be maintained as best as possible. The general rule of thumb being, if your opponent isn't ok with it, don't play it.
Q: When can I make changes to my list?
A: You can make changes to your list before, after, and between the tournament. You are restricted to one printed list when it comes to Game time that you should have multiple copies of for not only your opponents but a MANDATORY one for the Chronocade officials to hold on to.
Q: What does "Painted" technically mean for models
A: The technical rule for painted, is two colors and a base. We will be waiving the basing as a requirement, but two colors are mandatory. This could be as easy as spraying all of your models with a base, and hen applying a dot of color to all models.
Q: I see that formations are not allowed, but I want to play Harlaquins, and can not play them outside of a formation. What can I do?
A: You are more than welcome to use a Craftworld Eldar HQ, or consider ONE of your Harlaquin Elite choices as an HQ choice. (This must be clearly shown in your list for your opponent to know what he needs to kill for warlord kill.
Q: After 750 what is next?
A: After a month there will be a 1000pt tournament, and after another month 1500pt. There is also talk about an official 1850 competitive tournament after that. Please stay tuned.
