My Warhammer Fantasy Vampire Counts army is growing!! I'm super excited about adding these to my army lists!
Two of which I didn't have a model to represent them. I just added 8 Crypt Horrors, 1 Ghoul King on foot (he can also ride a Terrorgheist as a mount in lists), and 1 Wight King Battle Standard Bearer (a Forgeworld model!!!).
I've always wanted to run a Ghoul list. But I only had 3 Crypt Horrors which makes a good flank support unit but that's about it. But NOW I can field up to 11!!! That's a huge hammer unit! Smash the enemy with a zombie, ghoul, or skeleton anvil and it makes for a bad day for the enemy!
The ghoul king is simply a cool looking model. I usually just nominated a normal rank and file for him but no longer! He's also pretty good in a fight and makes a great lord or even General choice.
The Wight King Battle Standard Bearer is one sweet looking model! ForgeWorld makes outstanding resin models but very pricey. It looks even better in person. I found this model at a $12 drop!! I took a couple extra pics of it so you all can see some details better.
On top of this, So.... I FINALLY took the plunge and just bought 10 Warhammer Fantasy Vampire Counts Blood Knights from a guy on Bartertown. All resin and nothing painted. For anyone who's known me long enough. .. This is the purchase I've really been holding off doing as they are expensive as hell.
Typically they sell for a unit of 5 for a little over $100. A glass cannon in game, they can really bring the hurt. Essentially each knight is a vampire. Base model costs 50 points each in lists.
I am very excited about this purchase and it will undoubtedly help clinch my overall VC army model theme and count. Expect these bad boys in my army lists soon.
I am really getting more and more into running VC and after reading the End Times might even make a themed Vlad Von Carstein army!!
