Strategy

Mobile Brigada Lt
This model is cool as hell. It's also one of the few heavy infantry the nomads have. I really like the power armored infantry models, but there's only 1 of this guy. Apparently he only has 2 good load outs, either the Lt or the more expensive HMG. If I used the HMG version who would take over as the Lt?

Grenzer
He comes with the starter set featuring a MULTI sniper. he's not the best but he may have some better backup options and a competitive price. The Forward observer load out seems to be the preferred we to go but i have another guy for that. I'm not married to this guy, but the better snipers cost that much more. And having a sniper in the list seems to be a critical tactic in Infinity.
\ Spektr
The model is a sniper but if i had to pick a nomad sniper its either the Spektr (camo) or the Intruder (sees through camo). and i figure having a sneaky infiltrator will be more useful for me than one that can piggyback its camo defeating abilities.

Spektr
The Assault hacker version seems to be the best choice to bring the best hacking abilities for me to bear, along with being a camoflage unit, he's the main 'caster'. Apparently there is some better hacking units available, but this guy is flexible and has the ability to possess other units.
\ INTERCEPTOR
Turns out the assault hacking Device has no defensive ability and there is no defense hacking device in my army. But these guys have the HD+ which pretty well does everything. Then having a backup hacker in the Alguacils

Engineer [Tomcat v Clockmaker]
The Tomcat seems to be the obvious choice, though the clockmaker may be more useful in a campaign. The points price for Clockmaker might be what your list needs. But i find the drop in and mobility, along with superior combat ability worth the price.

Doctor [Tomcat v Daktari]
Similar story to the Engineer, though the flimsiness of the Daktari makes her a harder sell. I love medics, they're my bread and butter. But a medic is useless if its too busy fighting for its own life. 

Servants [Zondcats v Zondbots]
A 1 point difference for a shift in mobility or a cooler model. Thing is theres only 1 zondcat model and i'd like to have proxies for both my Doc and Eng. though really the Doc probably has more need of it. 

Tomcat
The DEP model comes in the set though he seems to be the oddity that fails in the payoff. The model itself may have to sit aside and wait or play Gecko Pilot.

Reverend Healer
Comes in the 2 player set. A religious doctor with a couple different tricks. Not quite my style but i don't have a full grasp for her yet. I will say 'Battle nuns for the WIN!' 

Riot Grrls
The only other proper heavy infantry models. lacks the looks and attitude of the Mobile Brigada or Iguana pilot, so not in any hurry to add these combat cheerleaders.

Geckos
They are super cheap TAGs but in all practical terms they are heavy-er infantry. Their function for the price makes them very cost effective, no nonsense heavy support units. the M12 version is the preferred model while the dual combi-rifle kinda gets left on the shelf. This is probably my all around favorite TAG in terms of appearance.

Iguana
The best TAG of the worst. comes with a repeater, ejection system and heavy infantry operator with HMG all at really cheap. This guy screams synergy with the Nomads hacker strengths. 

Lunokhod
A remote minesweeper with climbing ability and Crazy Koalas. A defense support unit that fits my style with trap control.

Vertigo Zond
Apparently the killer smart missile tactic got nerved. the idea was that by combining this guy with a marker and/or forward observer you can fire a nasty round without line of sight, ignoring terrain. This is a daunting combo that forces the opponent to dance to your tune, running in to get an angle on the launcher, risking running into the defense force, or else suffer ballistic attacks from across the field. This is totally my speed too, but it's one that can take the fun out of the game too. The Grenzer Forward Observer seems to be the natural partner to this.

Alguacils
The rank and file of the starter pack. Theres three of them and serve to support the doctor, hacker and front line. i don't care for cheap infantry but in this case, having redundancy to my main functions isn't a bad thing.

Offense
As it stands my offense power comes from the big models. Heavy infantry and TAGs with REMs thrust forward to clear the area and expose the terrain and any hidden units.

Defense
The Sputnik, sniper and hacker are my best defenders, compelling the enemy to either deal with them directly or try to work around them.

Support
Most of my team is oriented towards support. Docs, Engs, zones and the Alguacils sit back and perform redundant duties to keep the attackers and defenders up and running. it's the same thing that happened with my Menoth army. These are one of the strengths of the Nomads but it'll be a test to see if they can carry their weight compared to other more aggressive units. 

Style
personally i'd like to have more of those heavy infantry and ninja stylings like Yu Jing. Or the terminator armor and transport crab of Haqqislam.
But I'm going to feed the Appleseed style as much as I can and Nomads just spoke to me the loudest.  
If i get into the game enough, i may look at proxies for more mobile brigada and more helmeted troops.

Proxy bait and other Cool models

Wow! These Nomad models looks VERY sweet!! Interesting robots too.. Panda is original. My personal favorites are the Sogarat Tempest Regiment and the Reverend Custodiers. Very cool!

Yeah i've been through every model about a dozen times now. There are things i like in Haqq and Ju but the Nomads still have the best overall spread of style for me.
I love most all the heavy infantry models but Nomads can't swing that. However the Morats here have a cohesive style that makes everything look heavy.
Difference is that the Morats really have only 1 TAG/mech to their name and while i do think ihe is the biggest and beefiest slab of monkey awesome, at 90+ points a pop he is a hard~impossible fit in a pocket force.
HOWEVER they do have Dr. Wiggles! who doubles as a Doc and Eng, which is just great for me.

These Spec Ops guys are interesting too. they come with rule and model customization but are mainly intended for Campaign play. However a build your own badass is a great feature!
